The Classical Opera-tives Performing Society
The Classical Opera-tives Performing Society was a small group of opera lovers that sprang initially from CAMRA's 2007 production of Mozart's The Marriage of Figaro.
In June 2009, in conjunction with CAMRA, Inc, Classical Opera-tives presented Arias & Scenes including scenes from W. A. Mozart's Don Giovanni, and arias from The Magic Flute.
This followed the presentation of La Clemenza di Tito (The Clemency of Titus) K621, in March 2009.
On Sunday 24th May, Canberra's ArtSound FM broadcast a live recording of Classical Opera-tives' production of La Clemenza di Tito in its Concert Hall program. This was part of a series in May featuring Canberra musicians and entrepreneurs
With the successful performance from Don Giovanni, the Classical Oper-atives Performing Society disbanded in July 2009.
