Each year CAMRA joined the St Philip's Singers, with CAMRA Inc, to sing for

The St Philip's service of Nine Lessons and Carols

The Christmas story is celebrated with Bible readings and choir pieces linked to carols sung by everyone.

The service of Nine Lessons and Carols was devised by the Most Revd Edward White Benson (Archbishop of Canterbury 1882-1896) and first used in Truro Cathedral on Christmas Eve, 1880. The format has been made famous by the choir of King's College, Cambridge in an annual BBC broadcast.
